Salt Lake City has set a landmark goal in reducing the City’s carbon footprint.
The Council and Mayor laid out the plan on the steps of City Hall on July 13 to transition the community to 100% renewable energy sources by 2032 and to reduce carbon emissions citywide by 80% by 2040.
The commitment, called Climate Positive 2040, comes as a result of a Joint Resolution signed by Mayor Biskupski and the Council. More details on this commitment are available here.
